Derive comfort in working with an experienced breeder with a solid reputation for supporting their families and standing behind their puppies.
Want their puppy to be temperament tested and matched with their family on the basis of compatibility versus looks alone.
Would like their breeder to be a member of a breed club and held accountable in a transparent manner for abiding by a Code of Ethics and maintaining high standards in health testing.
Would like a multigenerational Australian Labradoodle puppy in the larger mini to medium size range (20 - 40 lbs).
Are willing to wait 5-10 months to bring home their puppy. Placing a deposit will secure your spot on our 2022-2023 Reservation List.
If getting a puppy as soon as possible, or getting a puppy of a particular colour are your top priorities, our Waitlist is unlikely to accomplish this, and may not a fit for you.
When will we get our puppy? You will bring home your puppy in early 2023. The exact timing depends on several factors, starting with when your deposit was placed.
When you place a deposit, you secure a place on our 2022-2023 Waitlist.
When litters are born, families on our Waitlist are offered a spot on the Litter Reservation List in the order deposits were placed. They have 24 hours to either accept or decline and wait for a future litter while maintaining their position on the list.
Our Waitlist is always in flux because a) we never know how many puppies to expect; and b) families have a voice in the process and are encouraged to ask questions and make informed decisions. If families ahead of you bypass a litter, you will move up the list must faster.
On the flipside, if you are near the top of the list and wish to hold out for a particular litter listed on our Upcoming Litters page, you will have a better idea of when to expect your puppy. Please do keep in mind, though, that breeding plans can change for various reasons.
If any puppies become available throughout the year - for example a puppy earmarked as a breeding prospect is suddenly released as a pet - families on our Waitlist will be informed and given the opportunity to reserve the puppy before the puppy is advertised on our website or Facebook page.
Because I give myself lots of wiggle room when accepting advance reservations, and because our Waitlist is always in flux, families often end up taking a puppy home sooner than they expect.
Can we choose the parents of our puppy? It depends on how far down the list you are and when your preferred litter is expected. If you have your eye on a particular litter and you are offered a puppy sooner, you may decline and wait for your litter of choice without losing your position on the list. Please keep in mind, though, that breeding plans can change, depending on a variety of unforeseen circumstances. If you have your eye on a particular litter, it's best to discuss that with me in advance.
Can we choose the colour and/or sex of our puppy?
Puppies are matched with families on the basis of temperament and compatibility with your family's demeanor and lifestyle.
While we do take preferences into account, we cannot guarantee you will be offered a a puppy of a particular sex or colour within any given litter. Being open to a wider range of puppies will often result in you getting a puppy sooner.
If you do have strong preferences - such a chocolate puppy - we encourage you to discuss this with us and ensure that you end up on a Reservation List where that preference can be accommodated (i.e. a litter of all chocolates).
While we cannot guarantee a puppy of a particular sex or colour, your happiness is paramount to us. We will not 'assign' a puppy to you and send you home with that puppy unless you are delighted with the puppy we select. That being said, families with strong colour and/or sex preferences may be best-served by working with a breeder who places less emphasis on temperament, and instead assigns puppies or allows families to choose based on physical characteristics.
Thank you for considering a Leapfrog Labradoodle for your family!
