The new family settles in for a nap. GREAT job Mama Robin!
And here is a slideshow of photos taken over the course of the week. Enjoy!
Week 2
Once again, I created and slideshow and uploaded some videos below. Enjoy!
And now for some videos!
The constantly moving puppy pile.
Up, up and away!
Happy little nursing noises.
Chubby puppies being loved on by mom.
Pooh falls asleep in a precarious position.
Week 3
I attempted to host a Family Visit via Zoom INSTEAD of taking photos this week. The Zoom visit was great, but I failed utterly in regard to not taking photos! They are WAY too cute not to pull out my camera at every opportunity! And way too cute not to share now that I've taken so many :)
Of course, we're going to need some videos to round out this week's update!
In pursuit of mom...
Wobbly babies :)
Puppies being puppies.
On the go!
Caring for puppies and waiting for Piglet.
Playing!
Nursing.
Thanks for watching - have a great week!
Week 4 - Puppy Portraits!!! This week we introduced solid food, a larger open-sided living space, a crate, and many novel sights and sounds. We are also starting to work on the communication trinity (clicker training, teaching the puppy to offer behaviours, and giving the puppy a voice through manding). Watch for videos of the puppies' progress at www.facebook.com/leapfroglabradoodles. Talk about a busy week!
Enjoy the slideshow!
Before we leave you, here's a video featuring the whole family...
Week 5 - Outdoor Adventures!
Week 6 - Puppies at Play! I didn't plan to post photos this week as I am hosting an in-person puppy visit for families on the reservation list. However, I ended up snapping a few photos during the week and they're too cute to keep to myself. Enjoy!
Week 7 - Last Set of Puppy Photos! This has been a WONDERFUL litter of puppies to raise! They have now been vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, temperament tested, and matched with the family on the reservation list that is best suited to enjoy each puppy's attributes and bring out the best in them. Here is one last set of photos for the families to enjoy before taking their puppies home in one more week.
Videos :) Playing the box game - shaping a behaviour using a clicker (puppies were individually clicker trained prior to playing this game)... Benefits? It puts the puppies' clicker training to work. And it helps them to learn impulse control/delayed gratification by coming to understand they can earn rewards by offering behaviours. And, of course, it reinforces the concept that learning = fun!
