Week 1
Gather the family, grab the popcorn, and get ready to oooh and awww! It's been a phenomenal week for adorable Lennon and her sensational seven!
Week 2
What a week! Lennon's devotion is really paying off! The puppies have become much bigger, stronger, and more mobile. Their eyes are juuuust starting to open!
Week 3
Family Visit via Zoom in lieu of photos. Thank you families! So nice to connect with all of you!
Week 4 Oh boy! Now, things are getting interesting! Toys! New places to explore! Baths! Grooming! Visitors! Snuggles! More snuggles! Did I mention snuggles?!
Week 5
This week, marked the beginning of so may changes! The puppies are out of their whelping nest and in a larger enclosure. The size of the enclosure will increase every week, as they become more proficient with potty training. They are using the litter boxes with increasing consistency. They sleep together in a crate, which builds a positive foundation for individual crate training. The puppies spend several hours/day outside the enclosure either outdoors or in other areas of the house (closely supervised at all times). Finding safe, fun ways for puppies to explore the world and have a broad range of experiences is KEY for puppies 5 weeks and older. I take my job of introducing puppies to the world very seriously! This week's photos will give you a sense of how the puppies' world is expanding, and of the types of experiences they are having at 4-5 weeks of age. If you pay close attention to what's happening in the photos, you will see how curious they are, and how they love to explore. You will also see their love of people developing in the photos from when Lennon's guardian family came to visit. I look forward to our Family Visit this weekend!
Week 6 This week, families on the reservation list were invited to come and visit! Thank you to those who participated! I don't usually post photos on Family Visit week, but I was able to snap a few here and there for the families who were not able to make it. Enjoy!
Week 7 Between temperament testing, vet visits, puppy matching, preparation of puppy folders and care packages, trimming, bathing and blow drying, sorting out puppy pick up plans, and lots and LOTS of last minute socialization and training - week 7 - 8 is so busy there is barely time to take photos! Here are a few photos of the puppies outside playing. The photos taken from outside the enclosure are of the puppies learning an important lesson. As much as we love them and can't get enough of them, we humans are not ALWAYS available to them! It's a tough lesson (for humans as well as puppies), but the puppies are doing so well. It's hard to believe Lennon and Harvey's little sweethearts are heading home in just 3 more sleeps!
